Zinio Is Here! What is it?

Zinio

You may have noticed this logo on our homepage and wondered "what is Zinio?" Zinio is a platform that allows patrons to read magazines on an I-pad, Kindle Fire, smart phone or other mobile devices. Unlike the e-books, which have a limited number of copies available at any one time, the magazines in our collection have an unlimited amount of copies, so we can accommodate every patron who wants a particular title. You will be seeing exactly the same content that you would with a hard copy of the magazine, and there are bonus features like the ability to do keyword searches, links, videos and more.

When you open the link you will see a sign in page as well as links to a user guide and an instructional video. Both will show you, step by step how to set up your library account and how to load the Zinio application on your device. If there is no app for your specific device, you can view your magazine in an Internet browser.

So take a look, sign in and browse through the 55 titles we currently subscribe to. We are always open to adding more titles, and of course, we are always here to help you in person if you have trouble.

Walking The Line At The Gazebo

Walking The Line, the Johnny Cash tribute band entertained the crowd of happy Westhampton Free Library patrons, along with other music fans who happened along from Main Street. The audience was amazed at the "dead on" sound of the Man In Black along with June Carter and the sweet harmonies of the Carter sisters.
They were the second performers in our popular Summer Music Series. Coming up on August 18th joins us as we welcome The Beach Bumz, with their summer party set including  songs by The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, and of course Jimmy Buffett. Don't forget to register for tickets at the library so we can continue to bring you great music for free!

Yee Haw!

One of my favorite memories I have with my daughter is attending a father daughter square dance with her when she was in Brownies. Any uneasiness the other dads had about dancing in front of each other dissipated in a few minutes and then for the next couple of hours it was all about the girls, and having fun!
This weekend you can create your own memories at the Westhampton Free Library with our own Father's Day Family Square Dance, June 16th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. We will have Master Square Dance Caller, Lee Kopman on hand to show us the steps and get us dancing. You must register to attend.
