Attention Would be Authors!

If you ever felt that you had the "Great American Novel" or perhaps a steamy paperback, inside you just waiting to emerge and you just could not figure out what the first step to getting it out there, we have some programs for you. On May 12th the Westhampton Free Library will host the local chapter of The Long Island Romance Writers as they present a workshop on how to pitch your story idea to a publisher or an agent.

Later in May, we will be starting a Writer's Group, where you can share your work and get constructive feedback from your fellow writers.

Saturday June 2nd at 4PM we present "Pitchapalooza" where you can enter to be one of just 20 attendees who get a one minute pitch to a panel of judges. Each pitch is critiqued in a positive way as to improve the pitch in the future. From the twenty writers one will be chosen to have a half hour consultation with "The Book Doctors" Arielle Eckstut and David Henry Sterry, the authors of  "The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published". Book purchase is required to enter the drawing.
